Alright, after reading the continually growing nostalgia towards this place after just a month of being closed down, I've started to think a bit.
This is in no way definite at the time, but I wanted to get a general consensus on something that Dollar and I had talked about before Exodus.
How many of you would be interested in continuing AWG...
...as a storyline fed.
As is painfully obvious most of us (myself included) got completely burned out. To expect people to continue rping just for the sake of this place would be ridiculous, but what kind of participation could we get if there was no real requirement?
Obviously contribution would be encouraged, but in a different way. There would be no rping at all, just segments.
I've never seen a fed where I thought this might actually work until I got to this one. The sheer lack of egos here is the ONLY thing that would make this possible. Wins and losses would reflect nothing more than what whoever is writing the results deems is in the best interests of entertainment.
The way this would work would be like this,
1) Whoever is running it (myself + whoever else is interested) would have the final say in the match results and would control the direction of all storylines
2) At the same time everyone involved can put as much input into their character as possible.
3) There would be no rping, however segments and interviews would be welcomed and encouraged.
4) All results would be determined by storylines, however just like in the WWE if somebody was putting in a lot of effort into furthering their character and contributing a lot they would certainly get a push (note: a push just means more big time exposure and high profile matches, not necessarily a run with the title.)
5) We would keep the current format with Authenticity every wednesday and a ppv every month
6) We would need to fill out the roster, and since there is minimal effort involved multiple wrestlers by the same handler would be perfectly fine although probably limited to 2 at first then later expanded as necessary
7) Wrestlers actions in and out of the ring(with the exception of prewritten segments) will be left up to the match writers and the people writing the storylines, however we would keep from having them talk as much as possible without the handler writing the dialog to keep the wrestlers unique to their handler
That's the general idea I have at the moment. Like I said this is in noway definite at the moment and would hinge a lot on the amount of support I could get from all of you. The plan would be to get it up and running in this style and build it up a bit, then make something like a myspace page for it and ultimately attract "fans" that aren't a part of it but just like to read the results, almost as if they were watching on tv weekly.
Use this thread to let me know what y'all think, what you could or would want to contribute, and ideas you may have, etc.
