We cut to the arena where the fans are going wild, waving their signs and arms trying to get on camera. We then cut to ringside where the AWG commentating team sits.
Tommy Veot: Hello Folks, and welcome to AWG Authenticity and the Finals of the World Title Tournament here in lovely Dallas, Texas!
Stormin’ Norman: That’s right. Tonight we will find out whether our World Champion or the “Adrenaline Rush” walks out of the arena tonight as the Tournament champion.
Tommy Veot: That and we have great Triple Threat and Tag Team action lined up for you tonight, so let’s not wait one moment.

Stormin‘ Norman: Well folks, we are going to kick things off by finding out who is going to be competing for the Triple Threat Title on June 15th at Exodus.
Alexander Cain: The following match is scheduled for TWO falls, with both winners advancing to the Triple Threat Championship match at Exodus!
“Guernica” by Brand New plays over the speakers.
Stormin’ Norman: This kid’s been claiming one half of the Triple Threat Title for more than a month now. Now he’s got to fight in order to keep up that claim.
Lights of the arena turn out, leaving only a thin strip from backstage to the ring lighted, and brightly at that. The crowd erupts as the see Lee’s head peek out from behind the curtain. His pin-straight, jet-black hair hangs freely in front of his face. After teasing the crowd for a moment or two he finally emerges, bringing K.T. along with him. She looks out into the crowd with an excited glance, loving the attention. The streak of pink running through her black hair glistens in the bright lights. They walk casually down the ramp together. Reaching the ring K.T. knows her moment of fame is up for now as she takes her usual spot ringside and her man Lee takes the focus as he springboards himself into the ring. He climbs up onto a turnbuckle and sits down, patiently awaiting his opponent.
“Water” by Breaking Benjamin plays.
Tommy Veot: And here’s the other half of the self proclaimed Triple Threat Champions.
As the music starts, a shower of blue sparks starts to rain onto the stage blocking everything behind them. The sparks stop and Jagger is standing there with his arms crossed over his chest. Jagger uncrosses his arms and points to himself with both hands as he begins to walk down the ramp. Jagger rolls under the bottom rope and stands in the middle of the ring. Blue pyros shoot straight up from each of the turnbuckles as Jagger crosses his arms and then points to himself again
Tommy Veot: There’s no doubt in my mind that these two are going to be working together to keep their shots alive.
“Survival Of The Sickest” by Saliva begins to play.
Jari Pulaski: Now I guarantee that this guy is going to advance tonight. He’s got some leftover business to take care of with Jagger.
After a few moments Johnny Knuckles comes walking out and stares at the crowd for a quick second and grins. He makes his way down to ringside. Before entering the ring, he takes off his silk shirt, glasses, italian style hat and gold chain. As soon as Knuckles slides into the ring, both Jagger and Varitek begin to stomp away at him. Referee Donnie Duncan calls for the bell.
*Ding Ding*
Tommy Veot: What did I tell you? Working together is all it takes in this sort of match.
Jagger backs off and Varitek pulls Knuckles to his feet. Varitek whips Knuckles toward the ropes and Jagger levels him with a clothesline before he gets there. Knuckles hits hard as Jagger and Varitek both walk around the ring in celebration.
Stormin’ Norman: Well, they both look confident, but remember, they both have to secure a pinfall or submission.
Jagger picks Knuckles up and irish whips him towards the corner. Knuckles counters and sends Jagger flying into the turnbuckle. Knuckles then turns and clotheslines Varitek over the top rope, sending him down to the mat.
Jari Pulaski: Look at him go!
Knuckles turns and delivers a running shoulder to Jagger in the corner. He pulls Jagger out and hooks the tights, delivering a suplex. Knuckles covers and Donnie Duncan makes the count.
One…
Two…
Kickout!
Tommy Veot: I don’t think anyone would expect Jagger to go down that quickly.
Jari Pulaski: I would.
Knuckles pulls Jagger to his feet and delivers a scoop slam. Before he can follow up with another move, Knuckles is taken out at the knees by Varitek.
Stormin’ Norman: And Varitek retaliates with a shot to the knees.
Varitek quickly climbs the turnbuckle and waits for Knuckles to stand back up. Jagger begins to stand as well. Jagger and Knuckles both get to their feet at the same time. Simultaneously, Varitek jumps from the top turnbuckle attempting a missile dropkick at Knuckles. Knuckles sees this and ducks, causing Varitek to connect with Jagger.
Jari Pulaski: Varitek takes out Jagger!
Tommy Veot: I think he was aiming for Knuckles.
Jari Pulaski: Who cares? He hit Jagger!
Jagger falls to the mat and rolls out of the ring. Varitek looks out at Jagger with a surprised look on his face.
Stormin’ Norman: You can tell Varitek didn’t mean to do that. Look at his face.
Varitek turns around and is met with a spinebuster from Knuckles, sending him to the mat. Knuckles hooks the leg and Duncan makes the count.
One…
Two…
Kickout!
Tommy Veot: Knuckles can’t seem to secure a pinfall
Knuckles pulls Varitek to his feet and tosses him into the ropes. Varitek returns and is met with a back body drop. Knuckles sets up for Omerta as Varitek stumbles to his feet.
Jari Pulaski: Here it comes!
Varitek stands up and Knuckles goes for the Omerta. Varitek throws an elbow at the last second, stunning Knuckles. Varitek then runs to the ropes, jumps off of the second rope and delivers a flying elbow.
Tommy Veot: Varitek isn’t out of it yet!
Varitek hops to his feet and grabs Knuckles by the hair when…
*CRACK*
…TC Jagger takes him out from behind with a chair shot to the head.
Stormin’ Norman: I don’t think they’re working together anymore. And remember folks, you can’t be disqualified in a triple threat match.
Jagger takes a step back as Knuckles looks on in confusion. Jagger points to Varitek and allows Knuckles to make the cover. Knuckles skeptically accepts the offer and covers Varitek, hooking the leg.
One…
Two…
Three!
*Ding Ding*
Alexander Cain: Ladies and gentlemen, Johnny Knuckles has advanced to the Triple Threat championship match.
Tommy Veot: Now we’re down to two.
Johnny Knuckles stands up and looks at Jagger. Jagger offers Knuckles a path to the outside of the ring. Knuckles finally accepts Jagger’s offering and begins to leave the ring. Just then…
*CRACK*
Jagger delivers a blow to the head of Knuckles as he is leaving the ring.
Jari Pulaski: Hey! He’s not even in the match anymore!
Tommy Veot: Jagger is sending some sort of sick message here tonight.
Varitek is beginning to make it to his feet while Jagger stands at the edge of the ring, marveling at his attack on Knuckles. Varitek gathers himself and sneaks up behind Jagger. Jagger senses Varitek and turns around, swinging the chair. Varitek ducks under and bounces off the ropes. Varitek returns and delivers a clothesline. Jagger quickly pops back to his feet but is sent down with another clothesline.
Stormin’ Norman: Varitek on the attack.
Varitek sends Jagger into the ropes and connects with a dropkick. Varitek walks to the corner and begins to climb the turnbuckle.
Tommy Veot: Varitek going up north!
Varitek perches and launches himself, attempting a 360 Moonsault. Jagger rolls out of the way at the last second as Varitek crashes hard.
Stormin’ Norman: That didn’t look good for Varitek.
Jagger slides over and rolls Varitek up and hooks the tights. Oblivious to the illegal hold, Donnie Duncan makes the count.
One…
Two…
Three!
*Ding Ding*
Stormin‘ Norman: Well, it wasn’t clean but Jagger is moving on to the championship match.
Tommy Veot: Nothing in that match was clean on Jagger’s part.
Jari Pulaski: That’s the way things work around here, Veot. You think that you’d be used to it by now.
Stormin’ Norman: We’ll be right back with more action, don’t go anywhere!

We return to the arena to see Alexander Cain in the ring.
Alexander Cain: The following match is a tag team match. Making their way to the ring first, weighing in at a combined 397lbs, Jack Gaither and Rob DiPietro, Dynasty 2.0!
(One Vision by Queen)
-Rob and Jack enter through the ring to a huge pop from the fans. Rob makes his way down the center of the aisle while Jack proceeds to slap as many hands as possible. They reach the ring and both men slide under the bottom rope before hopping up on a turnbuckle and grabbing one more pop from the fans.
Norman: A pair of tag teams going at it here tonight just after each of them fell out of the World title contenders tournament.
Jaromir: Yeah, these men each had quite a tough road through the tournament and none of them could quite handle it.
Tommy: They sure did have a tough road. Every single participant in this tag team match was eliminated by one of the two men in the finals, with DiPietro, Gaither and Power falling to Pierce Cavanaugh and Anthony Phoenix falling to Sage Christensen.
Alexander Cain: And their opponents, weighing in at 492lbs, the team of Max Power and Anthony Phoenix!
(Personal Jesus by Marilyn Manson)
-The lights dim out as both men make their way out. A mixed reaction from the crowd hits as Phoenix bows his head on the stage. Both men make it down to the ring as Phoenix takes a knee in the center with his hands folded in a prayer position. Max meanwhile flexes behind him.
Tommy: Two unlikely tag team partners here. Last time we saw them in the same ring they were beating the hell out of each other.
Jaromir: Yes, but each of these men have had experience working with each other. For days on end the two men battled with Jack Gaither for the hardcore belt, which Phoenix still owns.
-Both teams discuss who will start in their respective corners. Dynasty settles on Rob and the other team on Max. Abe Sanders then calls for the bell and the match is underway. They walk towards the middle as Max offers a test of strength, but Rob wants no part of it.
Norman: DiPietro wanting no part of the strength test with the much larger Power.
-DiPietro ducks under a lock-up attempt from Max and hit’s a dropkick to the back of his knee. Max falls to his knees and Rob jumps up and grabs him into a sleeper hold. He begins to wear down Max, when Max stand up and grabs Rob by the side and drives him to the mat with a sidewalk slam.
Jaromir: Whoa, big slam by Power there.
-Max pulls Rob back up and hit’s a series of knife edged chops backing Rob into his corner. He hold Rob in the corner and makes the tag to Phoenix. Phoenix makes it into the ring and kicks Rob once in the gut. Then according to the orders of Abe Sanders Max makes his way out of the ring. Phoenix then backs up and hit’s a spinning wheel kick to Rob who falls to a sitting position in the corner. Phoenix then stands and makes another tag to Max.
Norman: Quick in and quick out here for Power and Phoenix, who look like they’ve been together for years.
- Max pulls Rob out of the corner and delivers a throat thrust knocking Rob back to the ground. He then pulls him back up, holding him with one hand, and delivers a clothesline with the other. Max falls down and makes the cover as Abe Sanders makes the count.

…2
-Gaither makes a move as if he is about to break up the pin count, but Rob kicks out on his own. Max, frustrated, gets up in the face of Abe Sanders about the speed of the count. As he does so, Rob begins to crawl towards Gaither who is eagerly hanging over the top rope. However, Max turns and catches him right before the tag and drags him back by his heel.
Jaromir: Power will be having none of that.
-Power pulls Rob back up and tosses him back into his corner. Phoenix begins to make illegal contact, choking Rob with the tag-in rope. Gaither hops into the ring to make the save, but Abe Sanders, oblivious to the choke, focuses on Gaither and instructs him to leave the ring. Gaither does and as Sanders turns around Phoenix releases the choke.
Tommy: I can’t get over the teamwork by Phoenix and Power here tonight. They are really gelling.
-Max then grabs Rob and tosses him into the ropes. Rob comes back and delivers a shot to the head of Power. He goes back to the ropes and comes back with another. He runs back for a third and comes back and Max is expecting it. Max picks him up for the back body drop, but Rob struggles at the top. He leans forward and causes Max to stumble back and as Max drops him, Rob makes the tag in to Gaither. He comes in and instantly delivers a series of punches to Max, sending him to the mat.
Norman: Gaither is a house of fire.
-Phoenix then rushes in to make the save, but Gaither quickly disposes of him over the top rope. Gaither pulls Max back up and scoop slams him. He then takes his act to the top rope where he delivers flying clothesline to the rising Power. Gaither sets up behind him looking for the Samba Slam. Max makes it back to his feet and Gaither picks him up, but Max slips the hold and locks in a sleeper from behind.
Jaromir: Almost the end there for Power, but instead he’s in the driver seat here.
-Gaither begins to fade. However, the crowd begins to get behind him as he starts to gain some leverage. He begins to back Max up towards the ropes. As Max inches towards the ropes against his will, Rob subtly grabs Max’s leg. Max releases the hold and looks to the outside where Rob is standing. He points and yells something at him before turning into a standing Gaither. Gaither instantly picks him up and gets him in the air.
Norman: Here it is…
-Gaither slams Power to the mat with a Samba Slam and makes the cover. Abe Sanders makes the count.
…1
…2
-Phoenix hops into the ring and attempts to break up the hold. He takes Gaither out just in time.
Tommy Veot: Just in the nick of time!
-Rob charges the ring and takes Phoenix over the ropes as they battle down to the mat.
Tommy: Rob just took Phoenix out of the picture!
Gaither turns around and Power grabs him and rolls Gaither into a small package. Abe Sanders makes the count.
…1
…2
…3!
Alexander Cain: Here’s your winners, Anthony Phoenix and Max Power!
Norman: Max stole the match from Gaither!
Tommy: Phoenix broke up the pin, and Power cashed in. That’s how a good team works.
-Power slides out of the ring and meets Phoenix as “My Way” plays over the speakers.
Tommy: We have to go to commercial, but we’ll be back with the main event of the night.

Tommy Veot: Well folks, we’ve had two great matches so far, but now it’s time for the main event!
“Prayer Of The Refugee” by Rise Against begins to play. The fans begin to go crazy.
Stormin’ Norman: Well guys, he’s made it this far. Can Pierce Cavanaugh pull the upset tonight and move on to face the same man in eleven days for the World Title?
Tommy Veot: By the way the fans are responding, I’d say they are pulling for an upset tonight.
As the music hits, the lights turn out. All that remains are two blue spotlights searching the stage. Finally, they come together in the middle of the stage and focus on Pierce. He has on his wrestling tights and a warm up tee, like the one that you could buy in the shop. Pierce can’t seem stand still. He jumps up and down, throws punches and heel kicks at the empty space that is before him. He begins to jog down to the ring leaving the spotlight behind him. After jogging about half way down the ramp, his pyrotechnics go off, jets along the ramp. This signals the lights to change from nothing to a flashing blue strobe light. He gets to the ring and hops up onto the apron and then does a flip using the top rope into the ring. He’s full of energy and he stands in the ring punching, jumping and kicking while waiting for his opponent.
Tommy Veot: Look at the determination in the eyes of Cavanaugh. He wants this more than anything, you can just tell.
“Sorry You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari begins to play. The fans go just as crazy as they did for Pierce.
Stormin’ Norman: Will you listen to the crowd! If they’re any indication of what’s to come, this is going to be one hell of a match.
The lights in the arena dim and a lone green spotlight shines down right in front of the entrance way. "Sorry, you're not a winner" by enter Shikari begins to blast over the P.A. as the words "prepare to be enlightened" flash on the screen. A short moment later Sage Christensen steps out from behind the curtain with a black towel draped over his head. He quickly and methodically makes his way to the ring with the spotlight following him the whole time. After climbing through the ropes, he tosses the towel to the outside before climbing a turnbuckle and putting his arms up to a massive pop from the fans.
Jari Pulaski: Well, I can’t say that I’m a fan of either of these men, so let’s all pray for one brutal fight.
Referee Manny Herrera checks both men’s pads before calling for the bell.
*Ding Ding*
Cavanaugh and Sage begin to circle the ring. After a few circles, the two men tie up. As they do the fans begin to go crazy.
Tommy Veot: I’ve never heard the fans get this into a match at Authenticity.
Sage turns the tie up into a hammerlock. He twists a few times before Cavanaugh rolls and reverses the move. Cavanaugh continues to twist and forces Sage into the corner. Referee Manny Herrera breaks up the hold and forces Cavanaugh back into the center of the ring.
Stormin’ Norman: And we’re back to square one.
Sage comes out of the corner and the two tie up again. Sage executes a headlock and turns it into a headlock takeover, maintaining the hold.
Tommy Veot: Sage with the first takedown.
Sage maintains the hold but Cavanaugh is able to get back to his feet. Cavanaugh delivers a few elbows to Sage’s midsection, but Sage continues to apply pressure with the headlock.
Stormin’ Norman: Sage is not letting go.
Cavanaugh bounces off the ropes and sends Sage off, finally breaking the hold. Sage returns and Cavanaugh attempts a clothesline, only to have Sage duck under and returns with a flying elbow.
Tommy Veot: Cavanaugh needs to turn things around and get back on the offensive.
Sage pulls Cavanaugh to his feet and delivers several kicks to the lower back and midsection. Cavanaugh drops to one knee and Sage takes a step back. Sage goes for a kick to the head but Cavanaugh ducks under, grabbing Sage’s foot and locking in an ankle lock.
Tommy Veot: And there he goes! Cavanaugh with the leg submission.
Cavanaugh tightens his hold on Sage’s ankle as Sage begins to crawl his way toward the ropes. After a few moments, Sage is able to grab a hold of the ropes and referee Manny Herrera breaks the hold.
Jari Pulaski: Come on! Let them fight!
Tommy Veot: Sage had the ropes, you have to break the hold.
Cavanaugh waits until Herrera reaches the 4 of his 5 count before releasing the hold. As soon as Cavanaugh releases the hold, he stands and delivers an elbow drop to Sage. Sage slides out of the ring to catch his breath and Cavanaugh follows.
Jari Pulaski: Look at that, he’s trying to run and hide.
Stormin’ Norman: He’s using his head. How do you think he’s won every singles match since arriving in AWG?
Jari Pulaski: Luck.
As soon as Cavanaugh exits the ring, Sage grabs him and tosses him into the barricade.
Stormin’ Norman: And there’s Sage with his heads up offense.
Sage follows up by pulling Cavanaugh from the barricade and hooking his arm for a suplex on the arena floor. Sage lifts but Cavanaugh ties the legs, preventing the suplex. Cavanaugh delivers a punch to the gut and then uses his momentum to reverse the suplex, sending Sage to the mat. Referee Manny Herrera is now up to a 7 count, so Cavanaugh slides into the ring and then back out to break the count.
Tommy Veot: Cavanaugh wants to keep this match on the outside.
Cavanaugh bends down to pull Sage to his feet and is met with a quick jab to the throat. Cavanaugh stumbles back and Sage uses the ring apron to pull himself to his feet. Cavanaugh gathers himself and grabs Sage. He whips him towards the ring steps but Sage reverses and Cavanaugh crashes shoulder-first into the steel. Sage rolls into the ring.
Stormin’ Norman: Cavanaugh hits the steps hard and Sage rolls in. Cavanaugh better hurry if he wants to stay in this match.
Referee Manny Herrera continues with his 10 count.

Six…
Cavanaugh pulls himself to his feet.

Sage walks to the other side of the ring and waits for Cavanaugh to begin to enter the ring.
Eight…
Just as Cavanaugh is about to enter the ring, Sage runs and attempts a baseball slide. Cavanaugh telegraphs it and pulls up the ring apron, trapping Sage between it and the ring. Cavanaugh uses the trap to deliver a barrage of punches to the World Champion.
Tommy Veot: Cavanaugh with the heads-up move.
Sage fights his way out from behind the apron, but Cavanaugh has gained the upper hand. Cavanaugh rolls Sage back into the ring and follows him in. Cavanaugh drops another elbow and goes for the cover.
One…
Kickout!
Tommy Veot: It’ll take more than an elbow to knock Sage out enough for a pinfall.
Cavanaugh pulls sage to his feet and delivers a European uppercut, sending Sage back into the corner. Cavanaugh lifts Sage to the top rope and then backs himself into the corner, placing Sage on his shoulders.
Stormin’ Norman: Cavanaugh has Sage up high!
Cavanaugh steps out into the ring and falls backward, delivering an electric chair. Cavanaugh rolls on top and hooks the leg.

Tommy Veot: Almost had it there!
Cavanaugh returns to his feet and prepares to hit the hurricarana when Sage makes it to his feet.
Stormin’ Norman: Cavanaugh is preparing for the Invalidation!
Sage pulls himself to his feet by using the ropes. Pierce jumps and locks his legs around Sage’s head. Cavanaugh goes for the hurricarana but Sage holds onto the rope, keeping himself up on two feet. Cavanaugh releases and falls to the mat.
Tommy Veot: No! Sage holds onto the ropes to foil Cavanaugh’s plans!
Cavanaugh quickly gets back to his feet but Sage grabs him and sends him into the ropes. Out of nowhere sage goes for Infinite Wisdom, but Cavanaugh hangs onto the ropes as sage connects with nothing but air.
Stormin’ Norman: And Cavanaugh with the same idea! Using the ropes to keep himself alive.
Cavanaugh charges at Sage with a clothesline, but Sage sidesteps and tosses Cavanaugh over the ropes. Cavanaugh hangs on to the top rope and lands on the apron.
Tommy Veot: Cavanaugh lands on the apron!
Just then, Sage turns and delivers a superkick to Cavanaugh. Cavanaugh falls to the mat outside the ring.
Tommy Veot: Infinite Wisdom!!! Cavanaugh is out cold on the outside.
Referee Manny Herrera begins the ten count as Sage falls to the ring mat and watches.

The End
Thanks for making this week one hell of a show. Every match was a great one and I think Exodus is going to blow the roof off.
There WILL be a small house show type show this week to further storylines and help set up the PPV. Some of the details are still being worked out, so we will officially announce it tomorrow. Also, the date for Exodus is not this Sunday, but rather the 15th, just to let you all know.
Thanks for a great show guys,
