I just wanna know if I should or not. What does everyone prefer? Does it add to a RP and make it more reader friendly? Or is it over-rated?

I never see any reason to, unless you have trouble telling between when you are speaking and descriptions, but your RP's are good about that

Hmm, I'm wondering the same thing as that's how I've been doing my RP's as I don't like the whole one color drab look and I don't like using quote marks either.

I usually stick to having dialect in regular and all scenes and discriptions in bold. I think it helps with the reader, but I was too lazy for my ppv rp lol

yeah, any kind of difference between setting/dialog makes it easier to read and for some reason (probably completely unjustified by logic) just looks like more effoert was put into it

I always try to do it myself. But that's just me. If I were grading, I wouldn't take color, bolding, or anything like that into consideration. I just do it because I think it makes it easier on the reader and will make more people comfortable with reading what I wrote. But I don't think it should have anything to do with the judging itself.
I didn't do it with my PPV RP, because I didn't realize the deadline was midnight, so I "barely" got it done in time, in my mind. Haha.

That's ok Dougie...I wrote my RP in 45 minutes. I really didn't feel like RPing cause of the situation I'm going through with my now ex-girlfriend. But than I said..."screw it, I might as well"

I tend to put in tons of color in my RPs; it's easier for me to tell who's speaking, plus it's good for my eyesight anyway. ;D

Personally, to me it looks better when a roleplay has color. It is much easier on the reader, I don't know about you guys here but every fed that I have been in it just seems to help it flow really. But do as you want man, don't let people push thier preferences on you.
