From my last topic started about MMA I now know that that Kirk and Adrian like UFC and MMA and I'm sure there are others out there too. So, anyways my question is, who is you favorite MMA fighter and why? I'll start by listing mine.
My favorite fighter is Chris "The Crippler" Leben. Yeah I know he's arrogant and if you saw Ultimate Fighter one you'd also know he likes to pee on other people's beds, but in the ring he's even crazier than that. He takes shots to the chin/face/whole head region, with no fear. He definately has one of the better chins in UFC now and he throws some mean punches. Did anyone see him demolish that shmuck at UFC 82 a little while ago. Or the one he had on fight night against Terry Martin, that is personally my favorite of his fights.
So feel free to bash my pick, but make sure you include your own so that I can get some payback.

Chris Leben does have a good chin, but if ever gets a title shot; assuming he stays a middle weight and Anderson Silva is still champ, he'll get dropped in the first round again. But he has calmed down more in the octagon and have become more well-rounded. He's the next contender for the title though, as Silva has demolished the division.
My favorite fighter is Andrei Arlovski. Except for the Fabricio Werdum fight, he's one of the most explosive heavyweights in the game. I hope he resigns with UFC. I was a little pissed that his fight with Jake O'Brien wasn't televised which is one of the reasons why I didn't order UFC 82. He deserves a shot a Nog and it would prolly be a fight of the year

Wow, rarely have a met someone willing to give Leben some props. And I totally agree with you about the fact that Silva has owned that division. The middleweight class is really crappy. I like the light heavyweights the best personally. Can't go wrong with a Chuck Liddell fight.

Oh and BTW I don't buy PPV fights either, instead I just watch them online. At this website you can see all of the latest UFC PPVs and starting with the last one they have live broadcast. www.watchtvsitcoms.com/fighting.php

The welterweight division is my favorite right now. GSP, Hughes, Serra, Kos, Diego, Fitch and Kairo are some of the best fighters in the UFC and they all are in the WW division.
And I'm also partial to the lightweight division too as when I resume training, I'l be a Lightweight

Lightweights: Kenny Florian - DUDE HAS MAD SKILL! Even on the Ultimate Fighter, he was kicking peoples' asses and now that he lost that title fight a couple years back, he's been on a mission...and he's improving which each fight.
Welterweight: Matt Serra - He's an old school fighter that has big power, he's got good ground game and he's funny as hell. I really think he's got it in him to beat GSP again, although GSP is f'n badass too, you know.
Middleweight: Wanderlei Silva...I know he just fought Chuck at 205, but his Pride weight class was like 180-190 something like that...the equvalent of the UFC Middleweight Division. If he doesn't drop to Middleweight, it would surprise me.
Light Heavy: Forrest Griffin. It's kind of old now, but if you watched the Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale, you know why he's my favorite fighter.
Heavyweight: Randy Couture. Someone told me he was holding out on his contract, and that's why they had the Interim Title Fight, but watch out when Randy is ready to come back. Whoever is holding the fake belt is gonna get dealt with, no doubt about it.
Couple extra notes: Chris Leben is awesome. No shame in claiming him as one of your fav's. He's still getting better, and he's changed a lot since TUF and I like his style. I just don't think he's better than Wanderlei.
Chuck Liddell, Diego Sanchez, Matt Hammil, GSP, Luke Cummo, and a bunch more that I don't feel like naming also deserve honorable mention.

I doubt Randy Couture is gonna fight in the UFC again. His relationship with Dana White is shot. They're currently in court right now. And also Mark Cuban is in the mix too as he wants to promote the Fedor vs Randy fight.
As for him beating Nog...I don't know. Randy Couture is a freaking machine, but he's almost 45 and Nog is a serious ground game threat. It would be a good fight, but I don't like Randy's chances.
And is it just me...or does Kenny Florian look alot like Ben Stiller? I think thats why I can't take him serious. Everytime I see him, I think...ain't he the guy with nut on his ear?
